Solano County is proposing to span over an existing 12-foot wide structurally deficient cross culvert (to remain) with a single-span 45-foot long by 29-foot-wide precast voided slab concrete structure. Approximately 130 feet of roadway at each end of the bridge will be improved, requiring 12 inches of excavation and reconstruction with aggregate base and 5-inches of Hot Mix Asphalt. Depth of excavation for the abutments is expected to be approximately 13 feet. The pilings will consist of driven H-piles to an estimated depth of approximately 26 feet. The existing roadway will be excavated to the top of the existing culvert and the existing wingwalls will be removed to 6 inches above finished grade. Temporary relocation of a 10-inch waterline is required utilizing a 10-inch PVC pipe with support over the creek. The bridge will be closed for approximately 3 months during spring construction, and no in-channel work will be allowed.

Miscellaneous work consists of existing corrugated metal pipe cross culvert replacement, big block retaining wall, guardrails, metal tube railing, paving, and striping.

The estimated cost of the project is $1,550,000.
